For three consecutive years now , HOSBEC has trusted Nivoria to promote tourism in Benidorm. Throughout this time we have managed to get the campaign present in more than 40 international media outlets , with nearly 300 million hits on tourists , generating more than 1 million tourists on the website . The tourism sector was particularly bulk email campaigns affected by the pandemic and the subsequent war in Ukraine, with all travel and hotel occupancy data falling to historic lows. Tourism, as one of Spain's main driving industries, was the sector that suffered the most, leading to a chain crisis that affected all other sectors. However, despite the economic difficulties and the current war in Israel, the recovery has led to a new normality in which travel data and hotel nights have once again placed Spain as one of the world's leading tourist destinations. In 2019, the city of Benidorm was the fourth national destination with the highest number of tourist overnight stays, registering 16.2 million, behind Madrid (22.6 million), Barcelona (22.1 million) and Gran Canaria (17.1 million). Benidorm, with an average available hotel facility of 120 accommodations and more than 41,000 places throughout the year, reached an average occupancy rate of 80.4% during 2023.
